We are happy for responsible dog owners to bring their dogs with them whilst staying at The Mayfield. To ensure that we can continue to offer this facility in the future we have drawn up a list of conditions that we ask dog owners to strictly adhere to.  We apologise if this appears a long list but we feel it is best to be completely clear in advance. 

• Dogs will be charged at £15.00 per stay to a maximum of two dogs per room.
  
  
• Small well behaved dogs are welcome.  We consider small to mean the size of collie or smaller.
  
  
• Dogs are allowed in bedrooms 25, 26, 27, but not in the main hotel.
  
  
• Dogs may not be exercised in the hotel grounds.  There are many places to give them exercise nearby.
  
  
• Noise must be kept to a minimum.
  
  
• Dogs must have suitable bedding provided and are not allowed on any chairs or bed covers.
  
  
• Feed and water bowls must be placed on some sort of mat to protect the carpet (Please contact reception if you need one or if you need an extra table for preparing food).
  
  
• Dogs must not be left unattended during the daytime.
  
  
• In bad weather please ensure that dogs are clean and dry before entering your room.
  
  
• Dog owners will be responsible for the cost of any extra cleaning that is required due to the dog staying in the room.
  
  
• Dog owners will be responsible for the full cost of any damage caused by the dog (including damaged carpets).
  
  
• Dog owners must show due consideration for other guests at all times as they may not be dog lovers!
  
  
• There are a number of Kennels nearby should you wish to make use of this facility.
